The theme of this event is “Enhancing Scientific and Technological Innovation Capabilities and Expanding a New Era of Energy Conservation.” It is organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Energy Bureau, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd., and the Hangzhou Development and Reform Commission.
Yongxing Lithium Battery actively responded to the government’s call and participated in this event. The promotion activities of this event focus on energy-saving technological advancements, exploring policy support directions, and promoting the green transformation of key energy-consuming enterprises. The event highlighted the new developments in Zhejiang’s energy-saving industry, the new achievements in energy-saving technology, and innovative energy-saving products. Yongxing Lithium Battery, as a representative of lithium titanate battery energy storage technology, was honored to be invited to participate in this event.
During the live broadcast session, Yongxing Lithium Battery introduced to everyone why their lithium titanate batteries can be considered as “the safest mass-produced lithium batteries.” The main reasons are as follows: 1. The negative electrode of lithium titanate batteries uses spinel-structured lithium titanate, where during discharge, the lithium titanate material undergoes a phase transition from a semiconductor (conductivity of 100 S/cm) at full charge to an insulator (conductivity of 10 -11 S/cm) at empty charge; 2. The negative electrode surface of lithium titanate batteries does not form SEI film; 3. The lithium insertion potential of lithium titanate batteries is high, preventing the formation of lithium dendrites; 4. Yongxing Lithium Battery independently researches and produces a dedicated electrolyte for lithium titanate batteries.
Yongxing Lithium Battery also explained to everyone why their lithium titanate batteries, produced by Yongxing Lithium Battery, can achieve a discharge efficiency of ≥70% at 1C in a -40°C environment. Firstly, the lithium ion diffusion coefficient of lithium titanate material is 100-1000 times that of conventional graphite negative electrodes, allowing for more efficient lithium ion migration. Even in ultra-low temperature environments, lithium titanate material can still efficiently insert lithium ions and discharge effectively. Secondly, Yongxing Lithium Battery utilizes a specially developed electrolyte for lithium titanate batteries, with a solvent having a lower freezing point. Additionally, Yongxing Lithium Battery’s lithium titanate powder features a nano-sized primary particle and micron-sized spherical secondary particle morphology, which is conducive to rapid lithium ion de-intercalation from the negative electrode during battery discharge. Therefore, even in extremely cold weather, Yongxing Lithium Battery’s lithium titanate batteries can maintain a relatively high discharge efficiency.
